Youth play a crucial role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in North Africa and the Middle East. That’s why the European Union, in partnership with the Agence Universitaire pour la Francophonie, launched the Safir project. This four-year program aims to support young people in nine countries in the region (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia) by promoting economic inclusion and the realization of projects with social, cultural, and environmental impacts. The International University of Rabat has been selected to benefit from this program. Safir will support over 1,000 young project leaders and help structure a regional ecosystem that fosters dialogue between young people and public authorities. Thus, the call for applications launched within the Safir program provides an opportunity for the creation or strengthening of university incubators in the countries involved. Interested universities can apply until October 31, 2020. If you are a project leader wishing to have a positive impact on society and the environment, do not hesitate to apply for the Safir program and its benefits. You can also visit the official Safir project page to learn more about its objectives and achievements.
